I don't think he's necessarily trying to. I'm really enjoying Treyful Dead but they're two of my favorite bands so it's cool to hear for me.

Oh bullshite. He can absolutely capture it. He's done it repeatedly to try to get the old geezers to spread their wings and fly. He'll do some beautifully toned Jerry licks and then start going into rhythmic jamming and pushing things beyond what the Dead is comfortable with, and it keeps getting reined in. I'm loving this whole thing, but the lack of epicness does NOT reside with Trey.
