Enough to whet Tool fans appetite for the coming Tool album?

Puscifer "Grand Canyon"

If played backwards the song reveals the release date of the new Tool album, fwiw.

I probably respect Maynard more than just about any other artist alive today. He has been linked to some of the greatest music of the last 20 years, is a successful entrepreneur, and doesn't bow down to corporate demands.

However, I will never understand why in the world we will probably never have another A Perfect Circle album and we have had to wait 9+ years for another Tool release.

Meanwhile, Puscifer has released three LPs, three EPs, and is in the process of releasing ANOTHER album within the upcoming months. Honestly, I hate this side project and to think of all the creative energy that could have been invested into either of the former bands is unfathomable.

I'm about 99% sure the holdup on Tool is not Maynard.

This song is extremely pedestrian. You're not missing much.

I read a q&a with him a few years ago, and he said there is basically nothing more they can do musically as a group. That APC has run its course. I disagree, but hell they are the musicians not me.

Actually, what's great about the new Puscifer song "Grand Canyon" is that it is the one Puscifer song that sounds like it could be plunked directly into a new Tool album as a transition into a much more heavily riffed Tool song.

For example, this song would be a great transition into Parabola from the album Lateralus.

Just do me a favor, listen to this song, and think about what I just said...
