TigerDroppings favorite band- Widespread Panic
It was a blast, 7/4 1st set being the highlight. 7/2 was pretty subdued but still fun. Didn't make it to the 7/3 show but it didn't look like we missed much. The venue was awesome as well.

San Antonio was awesome. Its been 8 days and I'm still feeling it, lol. The first set 7/4 was fun but the 2nd on 7/3 was frickin' amazing. By the time it got to "I walk on guilded splinters" it felt like the Majestic was going to explode. There seemed to be a lot more energy during that 2nd set on the 2nd night than at any other point during the run.

They need to release Fall Dates already

I'm assuming they're going to wait until after this weekend's run of shows.

In the meantime...
Love this video

UNO was complete bedlam that weekend. It felt like it was on the brink of chaos at any moment.

Starting off with Sweet Leaf night 1, the momentum kept building and building all weekend. Then this happened.....

all hell breaks loose

Just heard Halloween is 100% in Asheville this year. Contract signed

Maybe NOLA will get a one off show, or weekend run

I'm still watching the 10/28/00 show you posted. If any of you kids want to know what a rock n'roll concert is really like, just look at the crowd. It jammed the ENTIRE time. Hard.

How good was this Ride Me High from his last Raleigh run in 2002?

Driving Song>Ride Me High 4/20/2002

His solo at 5:04

"Dear Widespread Panic community, and dear friends, Mikey here, with some thoughts and facts for you.

As some of you know, I have contracted a terminal form of cancer. I want to assure all of you that all that can be done has been done, and I want to thank all of you who have contributed information, medicine, and so on.

As for me, I am at my home in Athens, GA, surrounded by my family and being well taken care of.

In the words of Lou Gehrig 'Though some of you may have thought I caught a bad break, I feel like the luckiest man in the world.'

Between my best friends, J.B., Todd, Sunny, Dave and JoJo, and you, our friends, and best support group in the world, I feel strong and well taken care of.

I have hopes of playing again soon, although I can't say for sure when or where, and I hope to see you all there.

With much thanks and love,
Mikey"

Every time I read that it makes me sad. I like Jimmy, but Panic with Mikey is a one of a kind.

On a ligher note, expect dates for the fall to drop within the next few days.

Those dates have been rumored for awhile on burnthday and I'm surprised nothing else has leaked.

Really crossing my fingers for multiple Nola dates. They usually do several nights on the years they play JF.

Lol

I copied and pasted from Burn The Day.

I'm going Saturday in OBMS. Usually I'd be let down they were only playing one night. But I'm not all the way recovered from The Dead Skows. Plus it's gonna be like a heat index of 110 or something ridiculous at 6pm. It's gonna be Hot, hot, hot............

Anybody going tomorrow? Rogers was a pretty strong show.

One good thing is I think Jack is a strong possibility.

Caught them last week in KC. It was a good but not great show. Not a fan of one long set like they've been doing on this tour. Yonder did open which was pretty nice

the one long set at jazzfest was awesome. Never heard them kill cotton was king and pigeons like they did. Jojo playing piano o during cotton was phenomenal
