I seem to remember dudes who tried to live on the cusp of values, or not, mentioning that band.

Like the people who try to dabble in a bit of everything so they can just seem interesting.

We called them jackoffs of all trades.

I saw them in concert about a year ago. They were trying to sing songs off their new album. I thought the crowd was gonna riot. They have no idea they are washed up.

First two albums (self-titled and Blue) are fantastic. The radio hits are a little too teeny boppy, but the supporting tracks are really well done. Kevin Cadogan left the band, and they nosedived. Those two albums are still amongst my favorite nostalgic listens

Saw them in Atlanta a couple years ago and they were so bad, we left early. The singer is so full of himself and would talk about absolutely nothing for 10 minutes between songs that no one had ever heard before.

Jenkins is a narcissistic douchebag who happens to be a fantastic songwriter/lyricist, Out of the Vein was a really good 3rd release for all the self titled/blue crowd. Motorcycle Drive By is a song that very few artist have the ability to create.

Much better studio sound than concert. A concert can ruin your image of them.

^Spot on summary here.

I probably listened to their self-titled album hundreds of times in high school.

I play "Jumper" and "Semi-charmed" on guitar when I'm drunk, but I haven't listened to them in 20 years.

First album was great all the way through. They haven't done anything of worth since then, besides the single from the album after that.

I guess I'm in the minority on this board. The first time I heard "Semi-Charmed Life", my friend and I couldn't control our laughter, it was so nauseatingly cheesy....and when I'd heard how douchey & self-important Jenkins was, that actually made it even more hysterical to us. To us, that song perfectly encapsulated everything that was wrong with rock radio at the time...
