We'll both catch a lot of shite for liking this band, but as a classically trained pianist and beginning my 3rd solo album tomorrow, I feel I have the merit to comment on their success.

I agree with you on 3ib, but sentences like the above make me cringe.

Man, i love Out of the Vein. More than Blue actually. The Red Star EP was just ok, and Ursa Major was god awful shite. This CD is a masterpiece though.

That's encouraging. Been a long time since I've been excited to go actually buy a CD. I remember hearing Semi Charmed on 91.1, going straight to blockbuster music on College, and asking for the "Third Blind Eye" album, which was still like a month away from being released.

Looking back knowing that was Eric Valentines first big record, who is in my opinion top 5 producer all time, very very cool.

I'm not implying you suck. I'm just disagreeing with the notion that one has to make music to be able to distinguish good from crap.

No but I will take a doctors opinion of medicine over a farmer, and I'll take a farmers opinion of crop rotation over a doctors. Both could be wrong though I suppose.

Listening to the 4 songs on Spotify... Going to pick up the CD later. I'm stoked.

Going to see them live in Kansas City in a few weeks

Have not. Hopefully someone has posted the audio to youtube. That's how I listen to a lot of albums these days.

I have yet to listen either. However, I will add my sentiments too:

- Their self titled album is one of only a handful of CD's I can listen to all the way through at least several times in a row

- Wounded is my favorite song

- Blue is a great cd but I, like GtG, find Out of the Vein to be better.

- Ursa Major was a shite sandwich

- Really looking forward to this album. Will check out the tracks on Spotify in the am.

I think its their second best album behind their self-title.

Third eye Blind and Blue cannot be beat by this band.

I listened to the EP a few times through. No way is it better than either 3eb, Blue, or OOTV unless the other tracks are seriously all incredible

I'll let you throw in some Piano on my EP, when I finally record. I need some tasty licks though.

Ween is better at Third Eye Blind than Third Eye Blind.

I have no idea what this means, but I think I might like it if applied to different bands.

Go listen to Shamemaker or a few other Ween songs that seem to be direct parody of these arse clowns.

Agree to disagree, but then again ... music is subjective.
