Therapy (live)

Brand new car, VCR, just got back from the ice cream store
American dream, a television screen, and a Commodore 64

Two step mothers, and three half brothers, and another one is on the way
You play Donkey Kong and the night goes on but you never eat dinner with dad

Try to have fun, coma eight coma one see the video screen, never see the sun
Never play ball in the early fall, cause your old man never runs

You know he tries and he always comes by,
forty seven minutes late but its not a surprise
You get in the car and you hope you don't talk
but you love the warm look in his eyes

You can always go for help
I know a doctor right downtown
You can always talk to me
I know a doctor you should see
And we can always talk it out
And there's a doctor in the house
You should always talk to me
You can always talk to me

Sit the back of the chair every Monday night
Try not to let him notice that you just got high

You dropped visine, look straight ahead
You wished you could have talked to your dad instead

You talk about drugs, you talk about sex
And they give you some paper with a Med RX

Crumple it up and walked out the door
And you tossed that shite on the floor

Trivia: The Wheel

Sometimes a song is played consecutive show nights.

Played it last night? Bust it out again, when everyone least expects it.

New song that the band is excited about? Play it two nights in a row.

Old, shelved song that the band wants to break out with the new drummer? Play it two nights in a row.

Examples:
-On both 9/29/01 and 9/30/01 they played "Spectacle", having just returned from the shelf.
-When "Songs of Joy" debuted, they played it every 2-3 shows for a month.
-"Sound One" received the back-to-back treatment as well.
-"House Dog Party Favor" was even played twice in the same show when it debuted.
-They played "Portal to an Empty Head" twice over the '09 and '10 New Years Runs.
-"Minions" was played three consecutive shows; 07/01/09, 07/02/09, and 07/04/09.
-"Ah Moshi Moshi Jam" was played 5 nights in a row. 9/27/03, 9/28/03, 9/29/03, 9/30/03, and 10/1/03. The 27th was the first time they released it and each night only Aron and Sammy played the song.

But then there's "the wheel".

A wheel is constructed with some of the Disco Biscuit’s oldies, newbies, staples, and classic covers and then spun to determine the evening’s set list. Not only does this make for some fantastic crowd participation but also puts the band on its toes, allowing them to show off their improvisational chops. Much as in the game, the band was no longer in control of the show, for it was the wheel that held everyone’s fate. After a song was picked, it was taken off the wheel to reveal a new song underneath which was then carried around the stage like a boxing-match round number for the band to see.

The first appearance from the wheel was in Atlantic City in 2002, called the "roulette show". Five years later, the wheel made it to the Starland Ballroom in 2007. Due to the wheel, "Onamae Wa", "Down to the Bottom", and "Gangster" were played 2/15 & 2/17.

The next greatest addition to the white collar bisco fanbase.

Hopefully Mr Palmer can help teach me how to balance a ketamine addiction while studying for the CPA exam.

Did you mean to respond to me?

Or friends for that matter.

Neither am I. Always been curious how the pre 99 boards sound. I know they don't like them circulating.

Yea, never realized there was a music board on droppings til about a week ago.

What is the status of posting sbds on this message board? I read somewhere where it was frowned upon.
