Nice, I'm still waiting on that, hopefully today. With my phish summer tour tix, along with my jazzfest and the late nights I have already purchased I have a pretty awesome stack right now.

Reading 2013

Since you all didn't provide, I started listening to Phish @ Reading.

He really does get violent with them, I love it. Would definitely be one of my first choices in an all star lineup situation.

Yeah I have tix for

Jazz Fest first weekend x2
Jack White at Saenger
Paul McCartney at Smoothie King Center
Phish at Orange Beach
Phish at Oak Mountain
Phish at Alpharetta

Need to start buying late nights, which will probably end up as

Anders Osborne/Rebirth/Particle
The Word
Tycho
-
Johnny V,GPJ,June Yamagishi&Ivan Neville
-
Fiya Fest

Not sure what I am doing second weekend. Going to have to surrender to the flow.

My Paul tix are coming in the mail, I didn't pull the trigger on Jack White.

I've got tix to Metermen and Deadfeet, so those are the only sure thing for me.

Metermen was awesome last year. Are you going Fri or Sat?

Metermen was great last year, I just couldn't afford the ticket again with everything else going on.

They got two awesome openers. I have been trying to sing the praises of the London Souls (opening sat) around here but other people don't seem to be as keen on them as I am.

Yeah it is pretty pricey but I'd say worth it, especially when you factor in a bonus Moore/Benevento set and if the London Souls are as good as you claim.

I didn't get tix because we have a big group for Phish and I knew everyone wasn't going to be able to secure Meters tix (or even be willing to pay that much. Casual fans).

Definitely worth it. I didn't get tickets for the same reason, no way I could have coordinated with all of the people in town. Also I did see them both Republic shows and at jazz fest last year so didn't feel that it was imperative this go around. Hopefully this will be a pretty regular jazzfest thing from now on.

They should have done one show at the Saenger this year with all the phish fans in town, it would have been awesome.

I think the Souls are going to open for Dead Feet one night the next weekend, so I may try and score a ticket for that once everyone else has bolted town.

Just out of curiosity, is Phish's set the longest ever at Jazzfest? I don't recall anyone else getting a 3 hour set.

Friday. Didn't want to do the two night deal either, need a little diversity.

Doesn't WSP usually get that too? I am pretty sure they did in 2008. I didn't go last year but think that was 3 hours as well.

Also, horns can pretty much be expected with Phish. Mike Gordon has been posting pics of them practicing at the barn this week and Jenn Hartswick is there.

10.31.09 Suzy Greenberg w/ horns was great

Hells yes I can handle some horns during the set.

Any chance Mike or Trey makes an appearance during the Anders set next Saturday?

Pretty much no. MAYBE Mike, but I really don't think so.

Once again- Troy will be at Pretty Lights.

The real question is will the horns be on stage when Robert Plant comes out for GTBT and a couple other LZ songs?

I don't think Anders and Phish really have any connection. I guess Phil Lesh could be a link, and maybe Warren Haynes, but I just don't see it happening.

Although now that I think about it Trey and Anders both share sobriety after battling some noted demons, so there is that. Still - I wouldn't count on it.
