The Mutemath concert is being handled/promoted atrociously

It doesn't seem to be promoted well at all. Only place I've seen it promoted was here. The Union said it was going on sale yesterday and when I went by and tried to get tickets the manager acted like she didn't know what was going on. And rude.

The meet and greet now has an asterik-only for the first 33 people to arrive, but there are only 33 VIP seats available-doesn't make sense. It doesn't need to be there at all unless I'm not getting something.

Tickets are $10 more expensive than the advertised price. It says $55 on the website, but it's $63 and a $2 "internet fee." The portal to buy tickets is like using the internet in 1998. It also says nothing about which package you bought.

It's a new event company putting it on. "Platform"

This is their first event I believe. I'd love to see some better promotion for it. Also, the tickets going on sale like 10 days before the show is kind of rough

I like Mutemath and all, but that is too much money. I guess being a small, seated venue will help it out.

$55 for a concert on campus? I assume the target audience is students, right? Pretty ballsy if they think they will get people to pay for tickets at that price. Didn't they play at the varsity last year? I'm assuming tickets weren't close to $50 for that.

My guess is this promoter has ties to the LSU admin and saw an easy chance to make a quick buck off the students.

The varsity tickets were in the 20's I believe?

But yeah, a smaller, seated venue will cost more.

I'd like to see them promote a little better. Through KLSU, community radio etc. at least.

I hope they fail in their attempts to become music promoters... they seem to be in it for the money and not the music... It should ALWAYS be about the music!

You and your buddy need to be one of the first 33 people at the door

I thought about this last night, how it's only 10 days away. I'm used to them being booked months in advance.

I just checked the seating chart, and there are WAY more seats available than tickets already sold. I hope the guys can follow through on this and not have to cancel their first attempt at promoting music shows...

..OR just give those that paid a small intimate concert night with MuteMath.

Paul just want be able to crowd surf on his space mattress cause it looks as though they will only have people sitting on the first row in the whole theater.

I think the general admission tickets will sell quick in the upcoming days.

nvm. I just saw where they updated the union sessions page

good thing i screenshotted it before i ordered (and before they updated it to the first 33 thing)

i will hold them to that shite since it never said you have to be in the first 33 at the time I ordered

The Union Theater is way bigger than the Varsity. I think it holds around 2000.
