This may be the best album of the year so far for me. I checked them out about a month or so ago and really dug it. Took a little break and started listening again for the last week. It is so much better with repeated listens, which is the sign of a great album. I am now completely hooked to this and the new My Morning Jacket.
Anyone else listen to these guys? The singer is a good song writer, and he can belt out the notes too.

Yeah, I stumbled upon them a few years back right after their first record came out. Was hooked on it for awhile.
I haven't dug into their new one yet.....MMJ & Lord Huron have monopolized my listenings lately.
New Dawes single is cool as hell too. That new record should be really good.

If you're impressed with their albums, do yourself a favor and catch them live. Absolutely incredible. Two best shows I've seen in the last two years were put on by them.

Dont like the new album as much as the first, although I havent given it as many spins as I should, but then again, I absolutely loved the first album.

I watched some of their live stuff on youtube the other night. I am in complete agreement with you. The main singer reminds me of Ben Harper the way he gets into the music. When you see a performer feel the music the way he does, it pulls you in.

take time away and then revisit it. it is great. I find this is the best approach to really determine if I like a record or not. As good as the first one is, this one is that much better.

The first headlining show was in Atlanta, and it really was a special performance. Several bands members are from GA and had their families in attendance. You could tell the band was enjoying that night more than anyone else in the building and they went all out. Their passion and genuine excitement to be there really shone through and left the audience in total awe.
I've seen them several times since then, and while they'll never live up to that first show, they're still one of the top live acts and continue to exceed expectations.

I see there are no NO plans as of yet. Hopefully this changes.
