Backstreet Boys analogy,

accurate analogy imo. They were the boy band of the 60s. Teenage girls were drooling and fainting over them just like Nsync or bstreet boys.

It's not even close to accurate. If you want to say the EARLY era beatles are similar to the bsb, ok there is at least a tiny bit of merit there. However, the rest of the analogy is so far off target I can't even put into words how stupid it is.

It just isnt Friday without at least one meltdown in one of these threads. The beatles are the backstreet boys of that era. Who else would be? What band of the modern era has the same boy band vibe like the Beatles?

Their music was really bad like Elvis bad until they took drugs and realized how bad it sucked then it got better. Thats pretty weak if your band has to take drugs just to improve their shite music.

Ever here of The Monkees? They were the '60's boy band. They really were made for TV.

The GD weren't the best band who did what they did. They were the only band who did what they did. I really enjoyed them until Brent died and Jerry quit caring.

Pink floyds music never sucked early in their career. Piper at the gates and saucerful of secrets were masterpieces. The beatles early stuff is shite.

Syd Barrett disagrees:
quote:

During the winter of 1962 and early 1963, the Beatles made an impact on Barrett, and he began to play Beatles songs at parties and at picnics

Also, calling A Saucerful of Secrets a "masterpiece" is a stretch
