and post the first 10 shuffled songs from your playlist. No cheating. Post your true first 10 shuffled songs. Don't try to show how diverse your music selection is with a fake shuffle.

My first 10 shuffled songs are:

1. Delerium - "Duende"
2. BT - "Satellite"
3. Hall & Oates - "Adult Education"
4. Night Riots - "Shine"
5. Cale Parks - "Every Week Ends"
6. The Expendables - "Bowl for Two (Acoustic)
7. Superhumanoids - "So Strange"
8. Emma Louis - "Mirrors"
9. Bruce Hornsby - "Gonna Be Some Changes Made"
10. Madonna - "Papa Don't Preach"

After you post your first 10 shuffled songs, feel free to psychologically profile the poster above you based on their list.

For example, if I was another poster who commented just below this post, I might say something like, "Based on your list, Kills, I assume you are gay," or something like that.

ETA: I'm pretty pissed off at my iPad because I expected at least one manly Tool or Cash song, but of course the iPad fricked me on purpose.

I like your shuffle. I'd say you were a metal fan when you were younger but hid a secret love for 80's pop...a lot like myself.

That sums it up pretty well. At the moment I've been listening to mostly metal. Of the thrash/death/grind/black variety.

I'm just patiently waiting for the new Tool album even though I understand that I may turn 50 before it is released.

Until then, it'll be my guilty pleasures: 80's pop, old Tori Amos and Kate Bush, and the occasional electronic stuff from my college days.

I just deleted like 3,000 songs from my iPod last week. I'm trying to get it down to where I don't have to skip over every other song when it's on shuffle.

Note: This is from my "Chill Out" playlist

1. "November Nights" - The Coal Porters -- remake of a song Gram Parsons wrote while a folk singer at Harvard

2. "Paradise" - Jim & Jesse -- great bluegrass version of the John Prine song

3. "Withered & Died" - Elvis Costello -- An old Richard Thompson song that EC makes heart-wrenching

4. "Montreal" - Paul Burch -- Anyone else heard of this guy besides me?

5. "Down River" - David Ackles -- a cult-figure singer-songwriter

6. "The Goodnight Loving Trail" - Plainsong -- The title sounds like a porno, but it's actually a folk song about the cook on a trail drive. Plainsong was a British band of the '70s led by Ian Matthews, formerly of Fairport Convention.

7. "My World Fell Down" - Sagittarius -- popsike classic by a studio group from superproducer Gary Usher (Beach Boys, Byrds)

8. "O-O-H Child" - The Five Stairsteps -- Philly soul

9. "Between You And Me" - Graham Parker -- from Howlin' Wind, one of the greatest debut albums ever. Supposedly this track is actually a demo.

10. "I'll Never Fall In Love Again" - Jill O'Hara & Jerry Orbach (yes, THAT Jerry Orbach) -- Bacharach and David song from their Broadway show Promises, Promises (a musicalization of The Apartment)
