I concur completely that NOLA > lolBR in most musical aspects, but the list for the PMAC is impressive..

Ice T played at The Varsity in Baton Rouge circa 1996. He never played in NOLA.

The Warehouse was the shite when I was in high school and college. Lots of the biggest acts of that time played and partied there!

Independence Hall in BR hosted quite a few good shows back in the day including Hendrix in '68

I watched a show recently about the warehouse, had interviews with ex-employees and bunch of old pics and history. Really cool.

ps - I never knew this but official name of the joint was A Warehouse on Tchoupitoulas.
