What Pandora Station do you play or listen to that would gather weird looks from your friends?

My workplace has ~10 people, so we can usually play music publicly in the hallway and chemistry lab without disturbing anyone.

The mix I first started playing fits my generation: Offspring, Blink 182, Green Day, Beastie Boys, etc.

However, I got the looks when I was building up my Big Band/Jazz station. It started with the Squirrel Nut Zippers, a band my dad had downloaded from a public library. This led into Cherry Poppin' Daddies, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Setzer, and then into Sinatra, Martin, Goodman, Charles, and a number of other bands that can play well enough to make my ugly white arse look like I can dance.

So what about the rest of you? What do you listen to that would make close friends turn their head in surprise?

These are probably what got the looks, not the fact that it's big band/jazz.

eta: I go between two stations while studying: Hippie Sabotage and Flamenco.

Samsung Milk Radio FTW.

Pandora is very vague. Put in Pearl Jam...get ready to hear "Daughter", followed by "Jump" by Van Halen, followed by "Highway to Hell" by AC/DC, followed by "Outshoned" by Soundgarden", followed by "Come As You Are" by Nirvana, followed by "Creep" by Radiohead, followed by "I got Id" by Pearl Jam, followed by "Run to the Hills" by Iron Maiden.

If you put in any rock band...Poison, Aerosmith, Floyd, The Cars, INXS, Kansas...you are gonna have an AC/DC song come up.

I don't use Pandora much anymore since Amazon Prime let's me play entire albums that I choose. But The Judds gets you some really awesome classic country music.

I have Spotify Premium but I still use Pandora quite often while playing golf or cooking. The Spotify radio stations are way too repetitive.

I find Pandora repetitive......... But to answer the OP,

Pet Shop Boys Station. It's pretty damn good.

Fact: Any Pandora station will eventually play Folsom Prison Blues.

Of course that's where I started! But it's really what the music makes you feel right?

Personally wasn't into the Hippie Sabotage I listened to, but Flamenco is a new station I've added.

Honestly have not tried it. Might need to give a listen.

#1 AC/DC is awesome
#2 If you don't give thumbs down or "add variety", Pandora quickly gets off topic.

Not a fan of country, but they keep to a

See above, but "El Paso" is a fricking classic.

Again, I haven't tried Spotify. My point of the thread is to ask, "What songs do you enjoy that other might find surprising?"

Wow! Totally not my type of music. But if it gets you laid, to you good sir!

I can really feel this. I like it because it hits the same chords that a Berry White song could. Unfortunately it misses the the big bass that brings her to the climax.

So Folsom Prison Blues is the Kevin Bacon of Pandora?
