At the Eagles concert.
Steely Dan was supposed to open.
We have Tedeschi Trucks instead.
A band that would fit in at any county fair in the south.

I can generally tolerate Steely Dan. But as a kid in the 80s I knew some of their original fanbase, who regarded their work as Great Art (remind you of anybody?), instead of pleasant cocktail pop/pseudo jazz mood music with pretensions.
At least the singer's voice isn't unbearable torture, as with Rush.

I've seen Steeley Dan several times and am a fan. Maybe having seen them already (once in the last 1.5 years or so) affects how I feel, but I'd actually be more excited for Tedeschi Trucks. Derek Trucks can play the guitar like very few alive now or ever before. Susan Tedeschi's voice is so soulful.
