Are there any in the Lafayette/Baton Rouge/New Orleans that y'all know of? I was able to see Less Than Jake, Reel Big Fish and Mustard Plug while I lived up north and would love to be able to see some more ska acts since I'm back home now.

The Slackers are playing in Nola on Oct. 2. Always a good show.

I saw Less Than Jake at Bamboozle in May. If you can believe it, they had the biggest circle pit of any band on Saturday. It was also the best circle pit because there were no asswipes hardcore dancing through the middle of it.
Saw Reel Big Fish play a free show in Baltimore a few weeks ago. They can really, really play to a crowd. "Beer" is still one of the best songs you will ever hear live. RBF is on tour right now with Goldfinger and Big D. Sorta mad I didn't go to DC to catch Goldfinger on that one.
I'm seeing Streetlight Manifesto at Warped in a couple of weeks. Pretty psyched.
I hope ska never dies because it's a really nice break from, well, everything else. Suprisingly, it seems to still draw very very well
can't help on the Louisiana part though. I'd recommend keeping your eyes peeled for what's coming to NOLA and Houston
