I was watching That Metal Show a while back and this was a Top 5 segment. Obviously, Cream and The JHE were up there and that's why I put "since 1975".

Who ya got? Some reminders would be:

Grand Funk (even though they formed far before 1975)
The Police
King's X
Rush
Husker Du
Nirvana
Motorhead

etc etc.

Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble – Stevie Ray Vaughan gets all the accolades but Chris Layton and Tommy Shannon provided him with a super-tight rhythm section that helped to create that unique SRV sound.

Just my personal preference but I would go with Rush.

Is this seriously a question? There is no debate here.

Say what you want about their impact and influence, but their body of work is far too small in comparison with the other artists listed.

Apparently there is because not everyone has to believe what you do. I didn't make a list of my favorites...I was giving suggestions.

FYI, I rank King's X above Rush. The vocals are superior. Doug's bass playing, to me, is as good as Geddy's. Obviously, Neil would be what truly separates them. But for me...my personal tastes, I go with King's X. Rush is 2nd.

I like King's X . Great musicians. But other than "It's Love" there really isn't a hit. Just saying.

I'd like to remind folks of the "other" Canadian power trio - Triumph. But the answer, for me, is likely Rush or the Police, with Nirvana and Motorhead right behind.

Police and Rush are at the top of the list. I would put ZZTOP in there as well.
