ya it was weird but legit, the OP still has the best ones for sure but that one was interesting.

The others were good but not as awesome. I probably ranked the yes one too high. The Camel and the one after that were both good though.

I've been on a serious jazz kick lately. 90.3 has been playing on my stereo for a week straight

you probably know this one if you like ELO, but I had never listened to much ELO before and played this album the other day and was blown away by this song:

Boy Blue

I'll try to get into jazz whenever I get bored with prog in the coming weeks

I don't think it's going to go well though

I've tried like hell over the years to get into jazz but the implants never fully took. There's some jazz that I really like but most of it I don't understand. And if I don't understand something, it's hard for me to be interested in it.

I've watched it close to a dozen times now, all the way through. The first time I saw it, it was one of the most moving, romantic experiences of my life.

True enough. I like improvisation so you'd think I'd like jazz. I do love Bela Fleck & the Flecktones if you classify that as jazz. The classics like Davis & Coltrane are great. But a lot of what I hear these days just sounds like random notes with no structure or progression.

I definitely get into those guys. It's the more modern stuff that I can't seem to dissect.

Dude in all honesty i dont like miles davis or coltrane that much. There are just too many notes jumbled together. Too avant garde

Im more of a charlie parker, art blakely kind of guy. Start with oldies like sidney bechet.
