5 /10 - Decent instrumental but probably wouldn't seek it out.

Might be too 'mainstream' for this thread:

8/10 - Reflektor is a good song but it's maybe 2-3 minutes too long, imo.

8/10. I've never heard that and really liked it. His voice has an Eddie Vedder sound to it.

Attractive and atmospheric, although it's quite derivative. 7/10.

6/10 musically it's pretty good, but it's not a style that I necessarily like. I'd probably go a higher rating if so. I appreciate the musicianship though.

9/10, one of the best singles of the 00s IMO. As is this one:

4/10 I almost had to turn it off with that intro. It hurt my ears lol. Overall it wasn't a bad song, but I didn't really like it much neither.

6/10...not bad...vocals get a little annoying. Then again, I enjoy Beirut.

Pretty good though. It has a Mac Demarco sound to it.

That was a pretty cool tune. I liked the beginning best. Felt like hints of Black Keys and Wolf Mother and a little Led Zep homage just a tad. I say 6.9 out of 10.

I am curious about the boards thoughts on this song:

Hoodoo Gurus - Bittersweet

It came up on my Spotify Discover Weekly playlist (which is awesome for discovery of new songs, lots of deep cuts). Anyway, I liked it a lot.

7/10

It's not my favorite song by them, but the HG's are one for all times... good stuff!

5/10 - Reminds me some of Michael Penn and a little of The Jayhawks. I was waiting for a change in the song, but never got it.

Is that dude singing with someone's thumb up his arse? Bob Dylan was a terrible vocalist. Hipster emulating Bob Dylan is worse. There is also zero dynamic to the song. Might as well just play a few bars and set it on loop.

1/10 - You're going to complain about a live version of Hiss Golden Messenger's vocals and then follow up with a shitty Chevelle knockoff?

Wet fart/10

Whoever is squeezing that dude's nuts needs to let go. Seriously, though, that dude's vocals are terrible. Forced nasal crap. Similar to that last song, there is zero dynamic at all to the song. Basically a single guitar riff played for 4 minutes straight. I mean, I guess he changes chords, at least, but damn, how about a change of progression.

Morning Dew, take your pick of which one, they're all awesome.

Duane Allman - Morning Dew

Grateful Dead - Morning Dew

Jeff Beck - Morning Dew

10/10 I chose this one, because... well it's Jeff Beck! Plus I loathe Grateful Dead

Yeah, this is a fantastic song. It's my first time hearing it, yet I still give it a 10/10. Truly incredible stuff.
