I was introduced to this "act" recently and think it's pretty damn awesome.

This clown did a mashup of Pinball Wizard and Folsom Prison and it's fantastic.

I don't really care to visit the music board so I'm putting it here.

Heard him a couple years ago when I saw him do "Royals" with Post Modern Jukebox.

He's done lots of great stuff.

The entire world was just introduced to him on "America's Got Talent".

Saw him on youtube a year or so ago. He's coming to Birmingham July 29. Tickets go on sale Friday and I'm going to get some.

Amazing voice.

Agreed, amazing voice and captivating presence. Wish he would have been at the PMJ show at house of blues last month.

I just watched this a few minutes ago:

I saw him at the New Orleans House of Blues. He was part of the Postmodern Jukebox show that night. I went over there to see and listen to Haley Reinhart. She is by far the best singer they have and by far the prettiest as well. However, she signed a record deal and is hitting the big time now. So probably no more PMJ music anymore.

I am also a big Haley Reinhart fan. She was completely robbed on American Idol. The judges refused to compliment her because they didn't want her breaking up their all-male finale. Anyway, she had been signed and has released one album but it just wasn't very good. Hoping the new album is better but I am not sure what she is going for having not heard the material yet.

Well, what happened on American Idol is in the last 8 of the last 9 seasons, only young white males won the show, with the exception of season 12 when a female finally won the show. However, season 12 was rigged by the producers so only a female could win.

In fact, all the male contestants that season were voted off the show before the first female contestant was voted off the show. Thus, unless the show was rigged by the producers so only a female could win, it was impossible for a female to win otherwise.

Season 12 was rigged because the American Idol audience revolted against American Idol after season 11 threatening to file a sexual discrimination lawsuit against them after three females all in a row in seasons 9, 10, and 11, who clearly should have won the show, all lost the show.

The problem was American Idol didn’t fulfill its fiduciary responsibility to protect the integrity of its singing competition show so it would be fair for all the contestants involved, and as a result, four females, Crystal Bowersox, Haley Reinhart, Jennifer Sanchez, and La’Porsha Renae were all ripped off.

Since hindsight is now 20/20, if I were them I’d file a sexual discrimination lawsuit against American Idol to recover what should have belonged to them. In the case of Haley, that is the loss of the prestige of being the American Idol winner and about a million dollars in contracts, prizes, and cash money.

Well, what happened with Haley’s first album is at the same time the album was being released Interscope was going through a major transition because Jimmy Iovine sold his headphone division to Apple Music and also agreed to become its CEO.

That created a major cash flow problem at Interscope. Thus, although most music reviewers that reviewed Haley’s album said it was the best debut album ever from a former American Idol, Interscope didn’t have any cash on hand to promote it when her album was released.

Only one song off that album was released and it wasn’t the song Haley wanted to be released, and it became a minor hit charting on the AC chart, even though it was barely promoted.

Subsequently, instead of releasing another song, Interscope kept her in limbo for several months until they finally released her and 65 other artists from the label in a cost-cutting measure.

Most people believe that Haley was cut from Interscope because her album was no good and didn’t sell. That’s incorrect, they released her and 65 other artists at the same time as part of a cost-cutting measure to create cash flow.

The truth is her album didn’t sell because Interscope didn’t have any cash on hand to promote it and none of her better songs on it were ever released. She never got to tour or do any of the other things other artists traditionally get to do.

Had Undone been released, it would have become a multi-selling platinum hit song. In fact, simply by word of mouth and without any radio play, that song almost reached gold level status in sales organically on its own. Had Oh My been released, it also would have been a big hit in the USA. Then she had several other songs that would have charted on AC and AAA radio.

Well since then, she was signed to a record label or record labels last year, but nobody knows for sure because they still haven’t made an announcement or released a press release yet. Many people are speculating that she signed with more than one record label because there hasn’t been an announcement made yet. We’ll find out shortly.

Most of the big record labels had been trying to sign her for about a year, but they all wanted her to be a pop artist only. Haley doesn’t want to be put in a box, she wants to have her freedom to do what she wants to do since she is such a versatile singer.

Anyway, the word is this new upcoming album is just a quickie album so that Haley can be promoted to the top. By the way, the first single and pre-order for the new album will be available Friday on iTunes in case you are interested. A video for the first single is due to be released also on Friday, but no details on that have been forthcoming yet. Oh yeah, the first single is a new cover of Baby It’s You.

Haley has just returned from her first headlining tour of Europe where she garnered rave reviews. Here are a few videos for you to enjoy of per performing live on stage in front of European audiences. She looks to be on her way to me.
