I really like the collaborations between Jim James and the PHJB. Here's a live version that they did of a great Curtis Mayfield song:

They also have some of their tuff on two PHJB albums. Look up "An Album to Benefit Preservation Hall." Jim James is on a coupke of songs, as is Tom Waits, and a host of other guest stars. James also appears on "Live at 57th Street and St. Peter" which PHJB released last year.

if you like that one, I'd definietly recommend giving a listen to the Benefit album. Also, a few weeks ago, they released a new album of all new material (first time in the 50 year career of the band) called "That's It." Its phenomenal.

Was lucky enough to see him live twice (yeah, I'm that fricking old). Glad to see you guys appreciate the phenomenal music still being made by Preservation Hall. ;-)
