Incorrect... I was there that year as well. The cops were so much less strict this year.

Besides seeing legendary hip hop duo Outkast, this year was just as the article described it. "Tame"

We still had a blast though. Although I don't think I'll ever go back unless I have a VIP pass again. It definitely spoiled us

I got taste of the VIP life last year for TAB. That shite was awesome. Almost made TAB tolerable.

Much rather see those headliners then seeing WSP. I liked the energy of all three headliners.

I put outkast first, BK, then killers

I would have bought my ticket for next year had I known. I would bet VIP tickets does totally spoil you

VIP was the only thing that made the Killers tolerable. They really are awful live. I enjoy some of their studio work but their live sound is way off. They butchered Bad Moon Rising and that middle school Sadie Hawkins dance drum solo had be lol'n

I wonder who will be the reoccurring bands that are invited back in 2015?

Also, who do would think would be awesome to see on the beach?

Flaming Lips will be back at some point since people freak out over them. It's a good money grab. I hope they bring back Railroad Earth. They did 2011 and 2013. Great live act.

I've been hoping for a Phil Lesh & Friends since day one but as the lineup gets more and more custy I don't see it happening. Also Neil Young & Crazy Horse. Not as a headliner but I want to see STRFKR down there one day

Hangout has a habit of really recycling artists. In its rather short lifespan we have seen Trey Anastasio Band, the Black Keys, STS9, Flaming Lips, Portugal the Man, and more all play at least twice. I'm sure it is a blast for the bands to be on the beach.

I like the AB's but I don't remember shite from their performance this year.

I have a feeling that one of the acts next year will be a band from the past

They're painfully boring. Especially in a big festival environment.

I gave up on trying to show/introduce my dad to "good rap" years ago. He just can't do it.

SO do you have to be tripping for Flaming Lips?

I saw them last time at hangout and I didn't really dig their music. I did enjoy the light show they put on and their wild antics from the link I saw.

I also heard about some guy trying to sneak in a shite ton of mushrooms and the cops just took it and let him go

Oh I was very aware he wasn't going to enjoy it. Why does that generation not "get" the poetic flows and rythmns of twistin biscuits and tippin lacs?
