I hope they play the song with intermittent blah blah blah
I hope someone would think of something other than this every time a Mumford thread pops up.

But yeah, they're awful

Every Mumford thread. Every goddamn thread.

No one is claiming that Marcus Mumford is Bob Dylan or Paul Simon reincarnate. They've written a few pretty good albums and put on a good show live (I saw them Saturday). Get off their nuts.

I got in touch with the promoters and they wouldn't give me anything more than that the music starts at 6 PM. With two opening bands I'd say the Fighting Mumfords of the U.K. would go on at approximately 8 PM.

Don't know why people insist on coming to a thread about a band they don't like.

Stuff I don't like, I usually just leave alone.

I do like Mumford, hopefully they are good live, which I've heard.

Word is that Glenn David Andrews is sitting in for a song and Mumford may be stopping by his DBA set tonight to return the favor. not 100% confirmed, but wouldn't be surprised.

I am perplexed at Doc's hate for M&S. They must not be authentic enough for the ears of a true singer-songwriter. The authenticity that's only found in Red Dirt countryfolkrock.

Solid show. Played their asses off. In true New Orleans fashion, we got a House of the Rising Sun and the Preservation Hall Jazz Band. Not a huge fan, before or after, but they put on a damn good show.
