MBGTG: Spanish Moon, TONIGHT!!!

It's the night the Music Board has been waiting for. My band will be opening up the show live and in living color at the Spanish Moon in Baton Rouge on the 13th. They rocked the listening room, burned Raxx to the ground (not that it looked any differently afterwards), and now they're coming to the Moon! Time to nut up or shut up to support local, original music. We'll be playing 5 originals and 4 covers, so come on by and check us out, or just bring rotten vegetables and downvotes as usual.

oh shite, bob, sounds like you guys need to write 3 more originals in 2 weeks. let me know if you need a hand with some of the song writing. i only ask that you credit me in the CD booklet. i've got some really rad original poems that only need a few "yea"s and "ugh"s thrown in to transform them into lyrics.

No problem, we have 2 others we've already worked up a little and I have a couple more that are almost done. We'll be good. The covers were just a little more polished so we figured we could get by with them.

Talked to them and we get 2 covers.
We were going to do "D'yer Maker" (Led Zeppelin), "Three Little Birds" (Bob Marley), "In Your Eyes" (Tribal Seeds), and "Haunt You" (The Pack A.D.). We'll just have to pick 2 to toss out and replace it with 2 originals. We'ver performed 1 before, and the other we've run through in practice a few times already, so no biggy.

Well, the set list is finalized! We will be the opening act, starting at 8:00. After us will be Felix and Better By Design. Cover is just $8 to support local original music. Remember, it's BYORF, so bring your own rotten fruit and vegetables to hurl at the bands while you boo and hiss at their refusal to play any Phish, Grateful Dead, or Radiohead covers.

Just some really shitty recordings on our Youtube channel. My SO has been working crazy hours so she hasn't been able to do any decent recordings, just some real rough stuff from shows. We should be able to get better audio at one of the shows this weekend. If anyone has some decent live recording hardware and would be wiling to help out, it would be much appreciated. Our next rehearsal will be tomorrow evening, and we will be playing a show on Friday night before the Spanish Moon gig.
