VH1 came out in (early) 1978, and it was like nothing I had ever heard before. I feel bad for 15-20 year old boys now because they'll never know what that feeling is like. Literally, the first time I heard Atomic Punk, I knew nothing would ever be the same again. Van Halen II came out about a year later, and I believe is the better of the 2. I had the same experience when I heard the first few seconds of Runnin' with the Devil. Their 1978 show in Paris is high on my list of shows that I wish I could have witnessed.
