I'd love to see them live but they never leave the northeast.

Sahaj has one of the best voices ever. For a few years He actually held the world record for longest sustained vocal note which was recorded on their live album.

Definitely. He does, however,have dedicated followings in NOLA, Denver, and pockets of California.

Guadalcanal was at the Bayou. Creepiest version of Johnny B. Goode I've ever heard

Gurus played at the Chimes. IIRC the opening band was the Fabulous Thunderbirds.

Weird. We saw them at different times then. Walking in the Shadow had just been released when I saw GC. Def at the Bayou. I never did see any bands at the Varsity.

That Sky_Chief band out of BR a few years back was pretty amazing

I think they were just way too advanced musically for Baton Rouge. The crowd just didn't "get it". They weren't ready for something like that.
