Strange Magic & Living Thing
One Summer Dream
Telephone Line
Night In the City
Even jams that Lynne didn't lead sing on were great
Down Home Town
Jeff Lynne is pure genius
quote:
Lynne has produced recordings for artists such as The Beatles, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Brian Wilson, Randy Newman, Roy Orbison, Dave Edmunds, Del Shannon and Tom Petty. He has co-written songs with Petty and also with George Harrison, whose 1987 album Cloud Nine was co-produced by Lynne and Harrison. Among the many compositions to his credit are such well known hits as "Livin' Thing", "Evil Woman", "Turn to Stone", "Do Ya", "Strange Magic", "Sweet Talkin' Woman", "Telephone Line", "Mr. Blue Sky", "Hold on Tight", "Don't Bring Me Down", "When We Was Fab", "I Won't Back Down", "Free Fallin'", "Handle with Care" and "End of the Line".
End Of The Line
Even ELO's latest release in 2001 produce some great tunes
Moment In Paradise
These guys are in their own genre, much like Rush, and have to be in the top 10 GOAT.

Mr Blue Sky is a really fun song.

Roy Wood was the genius behind Electric Light Orchestra. After he left, Lynne drifted to more of the pop stuff. I like a lot of stuff Lynne did early on. But when they did that Xanadu crap, ELO dies to me.

Wasn't Wood there for 1 album?

First concert that I remember going to with my Dad. I must have been 7 or 8. Awesome time.

Yes...there most rock album. But the whole idea of using orchestra in rock music was Wood's. Lynne thought it was a good idea and so came on board.

That's another way of saying their least polished orchestra album.
Lynne is ELO.

I love the hell out of them
Fire on High --- FTW
Band gets severely overlooked by most people IMO

I remember my mom had Sweet Talkin' Woman on a 45. It was clear purple. Cutting edge man.
70's were full of a lot of crap like disco and awesome like Zepplin. ELO was in the middle for me with a heavy lean AWAY from disco.
