RIP JoyRAD, it was good while it lasted, but I understand. When you're selling out three nights there, moving on to a bigger venue was inevitable.

Caught streams of a couple of their recent Brooklyn Bowl shows and they keeping killing it. The 10/7 show with Stuart Bogie is one of the best I've heard.

Their ticket presales have been pretty insane. I think they'll continue to move to bigger venues around the country.

I saw them at Red Rocks, and I'm still picking up the pieces of my brain. They are doing something special these days. I've tried to listen to all their recent shows once they hit the internet message boards.

that really stinks...the joy is my favorite live venue in the city. easy to get to, easy to park, easy to walk to get food or drink, great sound and set-up

MG world is a let down

One less person to compete with tickets for the cover band selling out shows in minutes. That's a-ok by me.

They turn the amazing catalog of Dead music on its head. Make familiar songs very unfamiliar. They aren't restricted by the "formula" of a Grateful Dead show. They throttle down from the first song, and you better hold on. Not everyone can handle their intensity and the teases they throw all over the place.

Never seen a JRAD show described as "alright".
