I am considering buying tickets to see John Prine and Jason Isbell in Huntsville, AL at the Von Braun Center. I can get lower level tickets for around $180 a piece for myself and my girlfriend.

What is everyones thoughts on this pairing and if it would be worth the money? I have always loved Prine and never seen him before.

I saw Isbell for the first time on the 4th of July in Austin, but it was a huge venue and not the same intimate setting. Southeastern is one of my favorite albums of all time, but I am not sure how much of this he will be playing given the new album.

"So I love these two artists, but I'm really struggling as to whether I want to see them when they're on tour together."

Dude just go to the concert.

Prine was very enjoyable when I saw him maybe five years ago. I'm sure the show would be good.

I don't about $180 a ticket good. Is it a fundraiser or something?

I've seen both, and they're both great live. That's an expensive ticket, but I guarantee the show will be very good.

seems like a secondary market stub hub ticket

Shame of it is, Cory Branan should be on that tour over Jason. Oh well.

200 bucks is a lot of money. I love Isbell and I'd never pay that much to see him. I think I got tickets for his Nashville show at the Ryman for 35-40 bucks on the floor.

Good lord, does that price come with a backstage handy from Isbell himself?

Price is firsthand on Ticketmaster. Additionally I would be flying in out of town to see it.

That is a little high...but Prine puts on a great show. I've seen him half a dozen times and have never been disappointed.

Absolutely. I'm in the opposite camp - I've never seen Isbell, but I've seen Prine 9 times. I have every intention of seeing them together.

Hell I would pay that much just to see Prine. Isbell being there would just be icing on the cake.
