Technically an extremely accomplished musician and has a great backing band. Puts on a very professional show. Sometimes he can be a bit of a showboat but I think he's gotten better about that in recent years. His playing is almost too perfect for blues music and he could play with a little more passion and emotion. You should really enjoy the show!

We're going the next night (Wednesday) here in Houston.
He's not a cheap date...

+1, kind of reminds me of the first violin for the New York symphony playing Orange Blossom Special off sheet music

If you like looking at old guitars that are truly works of art and listening to great guitar work you are in for a treat.
I've seen him several times he is great, and he has as many "burst" Les Pauls as anyone out there and he plays them on tour so just seeing so many classic guitars is worth the trip IMO.
If I wasn't out of town for Thanksgiving I would be there hating I am missing it.

I assume the show is sold out? I'm going to be in La. next week and could potentially make it if there are tickets available.
