It is pretty cheesy, though I do like Rich Redmond's drumming. Tons of YouTube vids.

While there is plenty of that going on nowadays I wouldn't say that Aldean fits that bill....people like Luke Bryan definitely do. I don't discriminate against artists just because they're popular and their music gets played on the radio. However over the last year and half or so I have started listening to mostly texas country...its the shite. Can't wait for Josh Abbott this weekend

What in the frick? He's the epitome of it.

He takes rock and rap and blends it into a Nashville shite blender.

He's a walking fat faced cliched "country rap rocker"

He's what's essentially wrong with country music today.

There is really no discernible difference between Aldean and Luke Bryan. They are the same cookie cutter "safe" singers (I refuse to use the term "artist" to refer to them" that Nashville has been investing in for years now.

Probably missing out on a lot of fun, bro. I have been to see some marginal musicians who put out some simplistic songs and had a blast.

They aren't doing anything interesting.

It's ridiculously shallow and fake.

I go to a lot of shows and I always have a blast. Why waste money going to see shitty musicians when it can be better spent on a greater talent?

And I promise there is no way I could have fun at an Aldean show. Unless the power went out and he lost sound I would be miserable.

Then that's the equivalent of saying I missed out on a lot of fun not going to the kid rock concert

Well, I am a concert experience kind of guy, the music is just a part of it. Where people are having fun, I can too....

Yes, with Nashville pop, the music is secondary to everything else, I agree.

Probably. My wife likes that shite. I've never been to a bad concert though.

Thomas Rhett is great as is Jake Owen. Alden isn't what he used to be but shite, he's better than fricking American Aquarium. This board blows their load on that band all the time.

Eh, if they ever get popular, the board will hate them. You gotta be relatively obscure.

You're right. It just gets old how this board loves anyone until they get big.

As anti pop-country as I am, I have to agree. He actually has some songs that are solid. Church Pew or Barstool comes to mind. Of course his stuff on the radio is shite. So is everything else on the radio.

You can't be a self proclaimed music snob if you like anyone relatively popular.
