If true, that's messed up. That's even worse than The Chambers not telling their fans it was their last show before Alex moved to Nashville while on stage before performing their last song in the set.

Then what really happened?? I knew something was up when I started seeing just caleb's name listed on shows.
TBH, he's good but not good enough to be solo. His guitar playing is decent at best and would need a side man to take riffs and make what he does more tasteful. Somebody who has an ear for country riffs. Not the rock shite his GS boy was doing.

I'm not that good I just picked it up and learned a few songs for a one time thing. I can play banjo and the regular instruments too though

Which band member told you that? I wonder if the band will do their own thing with a new lead singer and do rock?
I wonder if Caleb will get new guys to be the Gillis Silo or if he will just drop the name and use his name.
Regardless, it's ridiculous that they failed as fast as they did.

If I had to guess, I would think that Caleb would keep the band name, but who knows. They were pretty good at their genre and seemed to have the potential to get to the next level. It's a shame they were torn asunder by the kryptonite of bands: douchebaggery.
Hopefully, the rest of the band reforms and writes some good music that's not about the same old tired tropes and sees some success.
HIJACK: What happened to Startisan? I haven't seen them in a while. I see Meriwether and Framing the Red are back, so their absence seems noticeable.

Meriwether is all a different group besides the lead singer.
Back to Gillis Silo. Did anyone ever think Caleb stretched the "southern" accent when he sings? I've spoken to him before and he doesn't have an accent at all.

I'm not a band member lol. I wanted to learn how to play guitar and took a few lessons from Jared but I don't have the patience or attention span for t unfortunately.

I'm not associated with nor am really friends with anyone in the band. Just been around the scene for a little while and am friends with people who are friends with the guys in GS. All I heard was that there was a falling out about the future of the band and they weren't together anymore with Caleb taking the GS name and using it to play some gigs around the area.
BTW, Meriwether is now playing some shows a few times a year and usually with all original members. They're actually playing Dec 23rd at the Varsity.
