For me personally it's the best of this millennium so far, but if I go back to 2000 that includes the likes of N'Sync, Backstreet Boys, and Christina Aguilera which puts this up for some big arguments and I don't want to be responsible for causing any rifts on this board.

You think I'm pretty without any make-up on
You think I'm funny when I tell the punch line wrong
I know you get me, so I let my walls come down, down
Before you met me, I was all right
But things were kinda heavy, you brought me to life
Now every February you'll be my valentine, valentine
Let's go all the way tonight
No regrets, just love
We can dance until we die
You and I, will be young forever
You make me feel like I'm living a teenage dream
The way you turn me on, I can't sleep
Let's run away and don't ever look back
Don't ever look back
My heart stops when you look at me
Just one touch, now baby I believe
This is real, so take a chance
And don't ever look back, don't ever look back
We drove to Cali and got drunk on the beach
Got a motel and built a fort out of sheets
I finally found you, my missing puzzle piece
I'm complete
Let's go all the way tonight
No regrets, just love
We can dance until we die
You and I, we'll be young forever
You make me feel like I'm living a teenage dream
The way you turn me on, I can't sleep
Let's run away and don't ever look back
Don't ever look back
My heart stops when you look at me
Just one touch, now baby I believe
This is real, so take a chance
And don't ever look back, don't ever look back
I'ma get your heart racing in my skin-tight jeans
Be your teenage dream tonight
Let you put your hands on me in my skin-tight jeans
Be your teenage dream tonight
Youuuu You make me feel like I'm living a teenage dream
The way you turn me on, I can't sleep
Let's runaway and don't ever look back
Don't ever look back

No. This is about Pop songs. Not your cool kid underground Phish or Widespread MFing Panic. Katy Perry is a legit pop artist.
Name one. Add to the discussion

This is about pop music. N'Sync is one of the nest pop groups of all time. Everybody loves Justin Timberlake. He's one of the most talented entertainers of our time.

its not the most popular, but I agree, I think it does the best job covering the genre of "POP"

I get what you're trying to say, man.
I agree. It's a damn good song for a "pop" song.

No comment on "best pop song of the last 10 years" but within the KP catalog I prefer Hot N Cold:
Hot N Cold Live

If Katy Perry died while singing it then it would be the GOAT song

I think 2 of the best pop songs are from the past year:
"Happy" by Pharrel & "Uptown Funk" by Bruno Mars.

Me too, only remove one of those and insert Taylor Swift's latest one Blank Space.
Solid thread though, was just listening to that KP album last week for a few days. Cannot stand her new shite.

It's def a solid pop song, but "best pop song of the last 10 years" has to be an overstatement.
10 years is a long time. Look at the track listing for t
the first "Now That's What I Call Music" release of 2005. These songs feel like a lifetime ago:
Honestly, "Teenage Dream" doesn't even have a lot of the appeal I see in normal big-hit pop songs. I don't find this one getting stuck in my head like others. I think Perry even has better, more catchy pop songs than this one.
Now, I don't know what song should take the title, but we've got to at least look at artists like Pharrell, Gaga, Beyonce, Taylor Swift, Nicki Minaj, Black Eyed Peas, Rihanna and, hell, even Nickelback.
