I have both Spotify and Sirius and I agree with you about Sirius helping you find new artists.
I pretty much have Sirius/XM "Chill" on all the time in the condo to woo the ladies. Feels like you're in an upscale hotel or something.

I also like the "apps" feature on spotify when listening from a laptop. The Pitchfork and NME apps both have features where they create playlists of albums they review, so you can read the review while listening to the album. When I'm bored, I'll just flip through the app and find an album that's been reviewed that sounds interesting and listen to it.

My go to channels are Alt Nation, Sirius XMU, Spectrum, Blend, and Pulse.
Listening to Chill right now... When you say upscale hotel or something, I believe the something you're referring to may be a porno... But it's definitely got the hotel music vibe.

Also, I've mentioned it in other threads, but the playlist "Deep Focus" on spotify is fantastic for zoned out working. I also listen to a lot of ambient when I'm trying to work (and to a lesser extent doom metal), but I get tired of that. Deep Focus is all post-rock lyric-less goodness.
