I really need to make a trip to red rocks. The gorge is amazing, i love the greek, the one in la is rad too, but nowhere near the level of berkely. So much better than the cookie cutter sheds on the east coast. Spac and merriweather post are interesting though.

The Ascend? It's not even finished yet?

It's between Red Rocks or The Gorge imo.

Red Rocks rules. Here's a pic I took in January when I was out that way. I've had the privilege to see many great shows there.

Long answer? Yes!

Before I got married with kids, I was going annually to see shows there. Nothing compares to this. I've seen Bjork, The Killers, Tool, Depeche Mode, My Morning Jacket (twice), Sigur Ros and A Perfect Circle there. The second MMJ show I saw there was a 2 night event, and it was one of the best shows I have ever been to. Plus they had Trombone Shorty and Band of Horses opening. So pimp

Saw Joe Bonamassa at Red Rocks last summer, what an amazing place. Haven't been to the others but hard to beat Red Rocks. Watching a concert and having elk feeding above the show is just unreal.

Merrieweather is great, as long as you are in the pavilion. You might as well watch the show from the parking lot if you're on the lawn
