Is Paul Rogers the greatest R&R singer of all time?

Watched a documentary on Bad Company yesterday and I was a little surprised to see a bunch of folks interviewed who said Rogers was the greatest of all time; John Mellencamp and a number of Rolling Stone writers proclaimed this.
I've like Rogers all the way back to his days with Free (that bluesy rock and roll became a mainstay in my playing style) but I'm not so sure I'd call him the greatest.
My pick would be Robert Plant. No one has ever heard anything like him before or since.
Who do you pick?

Obviously, I don't agree with this.
I will say that I was extremely impressed with him in Queen. I didn't think he could pull it off...I was wrong.

I don't know about "greatest" - that's highly subjective - many folks will offer Freddie Mercury as a benchmark (coincidentally, Rogers is the only cat deemed worthy by the survivors of the band to officially fill in for Mercury) - but Rogers seems criminally underrated.
But the knock on Plant is that he wasn't really a singer - it was "something else" - like Hendrix wasn't really a guitar player - it transcended that.
A lot of non-verbal vocalizations aside, Plant's voice was not stellar - although he was, obviously, the perfect singer and lyricist for Zeppelin.
Rogers fronted Free and Bad Company, sang for the supergroup The Firm and toured the world with Queen.
Having that on one's resume suggests a top tier singer - and that he is not really a household name is inexplicable.
(Bad Company, generally, is a criminally underrated band.)

Steve Walsh of Kansas probably has more vocal talent and singing ability than either of them.

Brad Delp wasnt raspy enough and didnt have the masculinity that Walsh has. There's a huge difference between greatest singers in Rock and greatest Rock singers. Brad Delp's vocal talent is unquestioned, but his voice may not have been most ideal for "rock".

I think I led off my first post in this thread talking about how "subjective" this all is.
Just say, "Dickinson versus Halford" - to the wrong group of people and you've got a riot.
And I agree "greatest singers in Rock" and "greatest Rock singers" - is a distinction. Take the whole Ann Wilson versus Stevie Nicks versus Pat Benetar - no question Wilson and Benetar had better overall quality singing voices - but Nicks outsold them - both as a singer in, essentially, a band full of great singers and solo artist. Wilson had more power and definitely some rasp - in the lower register, and Benetar had, effectively an opera singer's voice in a skinny rock chick's body.
But some are going to favor 1 of the 3. Most are, in fact. And that's going to be different, depending on what you want.

For sure.
Without actually making a decision about Rogers, I thought of Delp and Walsh also.
Another I like, but no one would put in a greatest conversation was Eddie Money.

There are a number of potential nominees, including Rogers. I would also submit Steve Perry, Freddie Mercury, Bob Seger, Ronnie James Dio (judge him on his Elf and Rainbow efforts), and David Coverdale.

Speaking of which, you would be hard-pressed to find a better vocal performance on an entire album than Halford on Sad Wings of Destiny.
