IIRC, MH's family weren't fans of the movie. Thought the portrayal was inaccurate, but that's how most of these things go with behind-the-musiceque movies. I agree with what you said about the glamorous part (and the no homo part). The guy had that IT factor that was naturally attractive . That hit that took away his senses changed him for the worst. It's a shame - an icon lost too soon. His day in the HOF is long overdue.

Shabooh Shoobah & The Swing--total track list 20 songs...that's it. Had a cassette in my car in the mid-late 80's with one on each side--it was my go-to music.

Was never a fan of the band but respected the music that they created and released.
