Phil Collins
Elton John

Billy Joel
John Lennon

Billy Joel and James Taylor I hate
Paul Simon has always been the epitome of the pretentious phony Dylan imitator to me. Some of his lyrics ("You with your Emily Dickinson, and I my Robert Frost") actually make me LOL. I can tolerate a few things of his ("Mrs Robinson").
Phil Collins is too meh to hate. His voice range is so limited it has to be double tracked, flanged, and otherwise modified.
I like a handful of Elton John tracks ("Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting"), but mostly meh.
Dylan, Lennon, and McCartney are awesome

Lennon/McCartney (and to a lesser extent Dylan) tower over all the others

Not bad, but I would flipflop Simon/McCartney and Collins/Taylor.

Thanks man! I was worried for a second.

I'd group Lennon, McCartney & Dylan together as the three that stand way atop this crowd...
I'd then have the next three of Simon, John and Joel (much to most of my friends dismay)
Finally, I dont have much time for Collins and Taylor...
