How does this board feel about extremely technical metal?

This guy is amazingly technical. He tends to work in odd time signatures also. Makes Periphery and Protest the Hero sound a bit like child's play.

I respect the hell out of the talent it takes to do it.
That being said it annoys the absolute frick out of me. Just can't tolerate listening to it.
