I'm not that educated on the band as far as their early days, but would you agree? If that is true, it's hard to deny that they have achieved a lot.

But if not them, who would you list?

I don't know about best (I know nothing about Radiohead) but I FINALLY thought of a band that qualifies:

U2

Wiki lists two members as being "pre-U2"

I thought of them. I won't go into my opinion of their music, but they have played reunion shows have they not?

Creedence had a member quit, though he was not replaced. That's still a lineup change.

Led Zeppelin has played a couple of concerts with Jason Bonham on drums, but he was never a member of the band.

If Johnny frickstick sits in on piccolo with The Rolling Stones at a concert in St Louis, that doesn't make Johnny frickstick a member of The Rolling Stones.

Are you listening? It doesn't matter if anyone sat in w/ them. W/o the original drummer it was a lineup change.

Now of you can get President Obama to disqualify those later shows as "undocumented concerts", then I will vote for Creedence as the best, since just losing a member and not replacing him is not a lineup change.

Aerosmith had two members replaced in the early 80's for a few years. Whitford and Perry.

Radiohead is arguably the second greatest band of all time, regardless of membership.

To argue that LZ had a lineup change because John Bonham died and the remaining members performed one or two concerts together decades later, is just arguing for argument's sake. Everyone knows Zep is Page, Plant, Jones, and Bonham.

I'll admit that Radiohead is my favorite band of all time, but I still can't figure out why so many people claim to dislike them (referring to the seven downvotes you've received).

They're an incredibly innovative band. Have an extremely diverse repertoire. Some solid songwriting. Huge risks that have paid off. Good beats one moment and a great rock song the next.

They also seem to be genuinely in it for the music and creative ventures. You never hear about them having drama, and they keep their families and personal lives out of the media.

No those don't count - that would be equivalent of you saying Trey Anastasio was a member of the grateful dead at one point, which is dumb.

LZ - thread over

Also did the Beatles have a lineup change?

I mean they are a fine band, i dont' get they hype. AM going to their concert next week so maybe they will change their mind. There are some good songs that I have enjoyed but really haven't been able to understand the hype some people give them.

If you count the lesser known fifth Beatle who wasn't publicly known until his death, maybe.
