Tabernacle is much better than seeing someone in an arena/amphi-theater/ festival.
I don't care too much for Lakewood Amphi.
Variety Playhouse (Little Five Points) is good, especially if they don't set up folding chairs in the pit.
Olde Smithe's Bar (Midtown) is my favorite, 300 max, seating for 9.
Peachtree Tavern (Buckhead) is also good.
Just went to Buckhead Theatre, similar to Tabernacle.
Center Stage (Midtown) books a lot of bands, most I've never heard of, which generally means cool bands. I hope to catch JJ Grey and
Anders Osborne there on the 21st .. a 'songwriter's circle'
Shaky Knees in April ..
