Saw one at GC. It has an older LOOKING Gibson on headstock and the Orange label,in the guitar (visible through sound hole).

The rest of it looks in really good shape. Too good. Meaning I don't think it is that old, I just assume they brought back the Orange label and vintage headstock.

Historic reissue? Gibson has a few round shoulder and small-body/parlors on their website right now with older style script logos and colors/cosmetics. I've also found GC is pretty good at dating their used/vintage pieces when it comes to American flagships like Gibson, Fender and Martin. Not that it's that hard to date them, they're just good about doing it in order to get top used/vintage dollar.

Keep in mind too that an old/vintage Gibson acoustic is more than likely going to have some degree of finish checking, regardless of how babied it has been. That's the nature of old nitro finishes.

If You like the old Gibsons, check out some of the Epiphone Masterbuilts, I am pretty damn impressed with the one I have It's pretty much a copy of a J50 all solid materials. It's built in China, but it's a small shop type of deal, and not like the other Chinese guitars. It thunders.
