for the younger generation, this would be the opposite of the a-side (the hit) on a 45 rpm record (a single)

I used to defend them back in the day, I'm more mellow with my music crusades these days.

As I've learned, some people are just stubborn when it comes to embracing certain music that doesn't fit their world. and that's okay
