man, I hope I get a chance to see them again. We won Vip upgrade at buku, so we were 40ft from the stage, no crowd, I was feeling good by that time.5 min before their set a guy close to me lights up a joint, smellin good! Im like, what the hell, i'll hit it. Ahhh, I do this every year or so, Its like I forget what it does to me. How can I have smoked so much weed as a teen, and now my body acts like its poison. I forced my self to stay a song or two, then wandered around in a manic state for the rest of the set. I wanted to get some food or water, but there was no way I could stand still for 1 min much less 10 for water. I finally ate some pizza, cotton mouth like a mofo so bad, it could of been cardboard.

I was so close to seeing st lucia at the republic, but I hate that venue.

So... did you get to see EOTS at Buku or not? I couldn't discern from your post.

.

So technically yeah. I then walked around the back of the crowd.

I would hear a song that I loved and as the chemicals battled each other I would go from feeling great to not so much.

Live or recording? Because I can not imagine St. Lucia being a better live show than EOTS.

Live. I saw EotS at the civic and it sounded like they were singing along to a back track. Yes, I get they have really elaborate costumes and amazing theatrics, but they leave a lot to be desired when it comes to actually performing the music.

We saw them at Firefly and they were awesome. By far the best show of the weekend.

Empire of the Sun is great. But one of them has social anxiety issues. He almost quit the "band" because he couldn't handle the anxiety of being in front of people.

I was at FF also and saw the EOTS show. Holy shite was that amazing. Best act of the weekend IMO.

Have you checked out the AXS TV recording?

I don't have AXS. We got some good video on the phone though. Left early to catch Snoop though and missed the finale.

I'll be moving before the Denver show.

Hope they play New Orleans again--and by that I mean not an outdoor festival.

If I remember correctly that was the first show at the civic and the sound was an absolute disaster. And the fire alarms went off the whole time.

Damn that's a bummer, sort of...Snoop killed it too apparently.

Alive might have very well been the best song of the festival.
