Whitesnake originally released Here I Go Again on their 1982 album, Saints and Sinners.

They re-recorded it for their 1987 album with a new producer and synth pads which landed them the mega hit we all know. Also says hobo instead of drifter in the chorus.

Clapton had an interesting one.

His song “Let it Rain” was originally recorded with very different lyrics to the same backing track.

Kathy Valentine's original version of Vacation with her first band.. The Textones..

It was reworked when she joined The Go-Gos and became the big hit most folks probably know..
