Haven't really enjoyed the past couple albums he's put out but this one has been solid so far.

Oh really. Donna chant really did it for you huh

I don't hate it but it's just ok for me so far. About halfway through

Spoiler alert: Drake won

Eta. I'll admit im a little jaded because kanyes routine has become absurd as shite to me lately. Dude has become the biggest try-hard on the planet with the world insisting he's some staggering "genius" because he's made a couple great rap albums. Now he's trying to sell everything as high art and it's fricking ridiculous. He hasn't even had a good album in the last decade. But he's had this silly arse month long rollout with weekly "listening parties" like its dark side of the moon or something give me a break

Finally went into an album of his with absolutely no expectations (actually expecting to hate it) and I'm very pleasantly surprised. Right now, it's the first album of his I've liked right away since MBDTF.

Evacuated from Houma for Ida, and came across "Moon" at the perfect moment. Sitting in the hotel room watching the storm coverage, I pretty much zoned out on that song, and had to repeat it a few times.

Found Jesus and lost all of his talent. You hate to see it.

Come to Life is one of my favorites on this album. Its good, I just haven't been as keen on this new era Jesus Kanye that's just probably something internally with me. I will always be a huge fan of his.

Im getting dv'd to death which is cool, but I don't hate it, like I said. The production is clearly exactly what you'd expect. Kanye sure can play the laptop

Song-wise it's just overall underwhelming to me. Is there a memorable hook on the entire album? Kanyes bars have just gotten terrible. Just simple minded and even cringey alot of the time. It's like hes trying to be some avant-garde futuristic composer/rapper and it just comes across as corny as frick to me. Yall are telling me THIS is what he needed to rent the Benz for a month to finish?

I do like a few tracks. The Thug one is probably my favorite. A handful of them just come across as over-produced to me as well. And ive always had a huge soft spot for kanye

Nothing memorable here. Just an overall boring record, which is hard to believe coming from Kanye who made his mark making music that was anything but boring. The mood and tempo never changes. Which is how most hip hop these days tends to be. All time run from College Dropout to Yeezus. Those days are long gone.

4/10 as the production is solid, some of the guest appearances are decent, and it’s not a “bad” record. Just not particularly good either.

I appreciate the take and understand it but I totally disagree, except for the production part just wow

Pitchfork gave it a 6. Which is extremely fair. Especially considering they typically fall all over themselves to overrate most rap albums, like most reviewers these days

Come to Life and Off the Grid are amazing. Off the Grid might be my most favorite Ye song ever.

2 listens in.

It’s a Tier below MBDTF and his 1 & 3rd albums.

It’s above the rest.
