The last Isbell show I went to he bitched about trump for like 45 minutes about how he puts Mexicans in jail Then he tried to put his wife on stage to play her crap and she wouldn’t get off even though everyone was booing and yelling how girls suck

I have seen him 4 times and he never uttered a political word. What show was this?

Agree his wokeness is annoying but he played a new song recently that was pretty damn good.

Somewhat, but their songs are not quite as personal as Jason's. At least that's how I rationalize it

When I got into DBT really heavy I started reading articles about them after watching one of the Docs on Netflix.

I read this one, along with several others about Cooley's lyrics as well as Hood's.

Good stuff. Thanks for sharing. I read it again.

It's Decoration Day
And I've got a family in Mobile Bay
And they've never seen my daddy's grave.
But that don't bother me, it ain't marked anyway.
'Cause I got dead brothers in Lauderdale south
And I got dead brothers in east Tennessee.
My Daddy got shot right in front of his house
He had no one to fall on but me.

That is top notch. Man he is good.

If We Were Vampires is probably my favorite by him. It literally made my wife cry live

Seen him five times, the last one just two days ago. Not a word of politics. He talks about music, his family, and his band. That’s it.
