I have not seen any recent comments on Gilmour's new album (other than crucifying Rattle that Lock)
I for one am digging most of the tracks. Namely:
A boat lies waiting (powerful tribute to Wright)
In any tongue
Faces of stone
Watch the animated video version of Rattle that Lock on YouTube (the intent of the song appears darker than most would presume (based off of paradise lost))

Rattle that Lock
Good guitar (big surprise) in a terrible song.

I rather enjoyed the whole album especially in any tongue. The solo at the end was great. I just started listening to David Gilmour and Floyd about 6 months ago and can't get enough of them.

I usually love anything Gilmour-related, but I was disappointed by RTL. The guitar playing seems uninspired noodling compared to most of his work. Grab his first solo album from 1978 for some inspired geetar.
