Don't go !! I saw him at the Texas club about 8 to 10 years ago and he came out in all black with a red and black velvet cape on. His finger nails were painted black and he had black lipstick on. The first thing he said was he wasn't singing any of his old songs, that's not who he was anymore. He sat a bottle of JD down beside him and started to play halfway through his first song he stopped and called a guy out in the front and told him if he was talking again while he was singing he would have him kicked out. Next thing I know halfway through his second song he stoped shut his band down took a pull off his JD and flipped the double bird and said f*** all y'all I'm done! And walked off. People were throwing beers at him as he was leaving. A guy came over the speakers about ten minutes later and said he would not be coming back out and there would be no refunds. Never been back there

Kinda sounds like the man.

surprising he can still get a gig with this type of behavior?

If he had played 12 songs and a couple of encores you wouldn't even remember it now. Instead, he gave you an experience that's clear in your mind 10 years later. Sounds like you got your money's worth.

I saw him maybe ten years ago. He was like two hours late, and he did nothing but cover Kid Rock. It was horrible.

This is pretty much his typical show. I have no earthly idea why buyer's still book him.

Amazing that he's still alive.

Very similar experience about 6 or 7 years ago. No old songs, acted like a drunken a-hole. Why even bother playing?
I love his old shite - the underground albums are absolutely hilarious and some of the less vulgar stuff is really good. I'll never see him again, though.

DAC has had his ups and downs but has done a great job the last few times he has played for us. I think this is his 28th time to play Texas Club. Well worth the price of admission. He sings all his hits and there are a ton of them.

Saw him back in 1999 at Hal and Mal's in Jackson, he was pretty good but at one point threated to come off the stage and kick a guy's arse.
Saw him again in 2009 at Willie's 4th of July picnic. It was horrible, came out with some lady I think was his wife and then did some kind of rap shite he was doing at the time.

That's Mrs. Kim, I think she was a waitress at a casino in Mississippi and latched onto to DAC to further her musical career of playing the tambourine.
