The song is Feeling Good by Cy Grant covered by a 13 year old girl named Carly Rose Sonenclar. Its her audition from one of those reality singer shows, but this girl is one of the best singers i've ever heard regardless of age.

I chose because the song in itself is great plus I was absolutely blown away and listen to it often now. Her stage presence, vocals are all amazing.

Beth Hart has flown under the radar for years, but is now starting to get the recognition she deserves. Bluesy, soulful, and recovering, her music touches a lot of chords. She partners with some of the best musicians and never disappoints.
She's my Janis Joplin, Etta James. Take a listen.

Soviet Soviet - "Ecstasy"

I'm a sucker for a band named Soviet Soviet. Plus the asymmetric main guitar riff is really cool.

I mean, it's pretty self-explanatory. It's Joe Walsh after all.

Strong thread. This is the first song I have even heard of.

Need to book mark this thread for a night when I have time to kill.

The Dear Hunter - Gloria

I really enjoy the depth of composition. The song kind of defies genre. It has somewhat of a singer-songwriter vibe, but overlayed with prog grandieur.

This board needs to experience the greatness of Casey Crescenzo.

Side with the Seeds - Wilco

I just really love this track. It starts off mellow, but builds to a great crescendo, bordering on complete chaos. I saw them perform this track live at Jazz Fest as a teenager and it blew me away. I still really enjoy it to this day as it's possibly my favorite song by them, but not one most Wilco fans ever mention.

Twin Peaks - I Found a New Way
For whatever reason it took me until the last year or so to start getting into these dudes. Early-mid 20's guys from Chicago that have a real knack for modern garage rock, with nods to the past. They really give me a Kinks-like feel in a lot of their songs. This song just gets me going. Jangly, distorted guitars with some background shredding. I like how the lead singer starts with a low, almost apathetic tone but shortly builds into a borderline scream. Just an awesome track IMHO.

TIDES- Resurface

Back around the time streaming music was a thing Youtube blew up... suddenly all these songs I would hear randomly on Pandora would be easily accessible.

Never knew much about this band or much other music from them... but this song was just so powerful and downhill.

Instrumental Metal was a huge love for me circa 2006-2009

hope some of you enjoy

Beth Hart is incredible. Her work with Joe Bonamassa is top shelf stuff

Bag Raiders - Shooting stars
Catchy, nothing deep, great hook
Picked it up on Pandora, never seen the video before, it's way more popular than I would have guessed.

That Twin Peaks song was good and the video wasn't bad either.

Cool, Calm and Collected~ The Rolling Stones

Pub style happy piano, a fricking dulcimer, hoppy, poppy, and could be referring to a certain woman not unlike early Bowie did at times.

Picks up tempo at end, and Mick gets some harp in.

So strange, it´s wonderful.

Drive, She Said~ Julian Cope
Also from Peggy Suicide ( a cracker of an album ). Have been on a Cope kick, and he´s a wonderful madman. Mad, in the sense he´s so sane, he seems mad. Fine line. Fine line.
