Do they do country award shows in Nashville anymore? I know this show wasn't an awards show, but the last few that I've seen were in Vegas or LA or some place where the sound was awful.

There's no soul in country music.
There's no avenue for up and coming artist to be heard.
Most artist seem hand picked, groomed, and mass marketed.
Most songs seem written by writers, are gimmicky, and not written by the singers.

Some of the honky tonk bar's in Nashville have great artists that play, but for the most part they are doing covers. I think the days of Waylon, Garth, Cash..... are way over. Unfortunately this is what country has become. Luckily we have Pandora to listen to real country. OFF-TOPIC....I recently heard that the Rock n Roll hall of fame got rid of the DJ that coined the term "Rock n Roll" and replaced it with leotards from Beyonce. Where in the hell does Beyonce's leotards fit into the Rock n Roll H.O.F?

I don't think they "replaced" Freed's ashes with her leotards. They have rotating displays of current artists than aren't in the hall. I guess they still have the Freed display just not the urn with the ashes. Freed used the term Rock and Roll on his radio show in Clevland. The HoF as it is now isn't about Rock and Roll (aka rhythm and blues), so Freed's relatives should be glad he's out of there.

Yes. The CMAs are in Nashville, at the Opry House, while the ACMs are in Vegas.

last night's shows were recorded at LP Field. They moved most of the major acts over there a few years ago so they could sell more tickets.
